Gold & Purple Cooling IPL: Results, Routine & What to Know
A cooler contact surface can make an at-home hair-removal routine more inviting. Our Gold & Purple Ice-Cooling IPL Hair Removal Device pairs cooling contact with nine energy levels and manual or automatic flashes. Here is how to choose it with clear expectations.
What does the cooling function add?
Built-in ice cooling adds a cool contact surface during treatment. The supplier rates cooling at 10°C for a more comfortable session; actual temperature and sensation depend on conditions. Cooling is a comfort feature alongside the IPL flash; it does not make IPL suitable for every skin tone. Do not apply ice or water to the handset.
IPL, laser or a shaver?
This is an IPL device: it delivers pulses of broad-spectrum light that target pigment in hair, reducing regrowth across repeated sessions. It is not a laser, a razor or a mechanical epilator. You still prepare by shaving as directed, and you may need maintenance after the initial course.
Nine levels and two flash modes
Manual mode gives you control over individual flashes. Auto-glide mode provides flashes at intervals for methodical coverage of larger permitted areas. Start at the lowest level allowed by the manual and your patch test. A higher level is not automatically the right setting.
What results does the supplier advertise?
The supplier’s gallery advertises 70% hair reduction at week 4 and 98% at week 8. These are supplier promotional figures, not independently verified results for every user. Skin tone, hair color, body area and consistency affect results; maintenance can be needed. The imported written description mentions visible reduction at eight weeks; the gallery also shows earlier progress. Treat the imagery as promotional examples, not a fixed deadline or a promise of salon-equivalent results.
How often is the device used?
The supplier’s nine-level gallery shows twice weekly in weeks 1–4, once weekly in weeks 5–8, then 1–2 sessions per month. Check the enclosed manual before starting and follow its schedule if it differs. Do not add extra sessions or repeatedly flash one spot.
Who is the device suitable for?
Check the supplied skin-tone and hair-color chart for every treatment area. This IPL is for compatible lighter to medium skin tones with pigmented hair. Do not use on very dark or recently tanned skin, or expect it to work on white, gray, red or light-blonde hair. Cooling does not make every skin tone suitable. The supplier excludes pregnancy, tattoos, skin disease and sunburn. Check the enclosed manual’s full contraindications before treating.
Your first-session checklist
- Check skin tone, hair color and the permitted treatment area.
- Read the manual and complete the required patch test and waiting period.
- Shave as directed; let cuts or irritation heal, then clean and dry the skin.
- Use the specified eye protection and the lowest permitted starting level.
- Keep the required skin contact and move methodically without repeating flashes on one spot.
- Follow the supplied session calendar and aftercare, including sun-exposure precautions.
Gold or Purple: what changes?
The two variants in this listing are color choices. Both have a US plug and are mains-powered, with supplier-listed 100–240 V input. We do not claim that one color is more powerful. Check the adapter label and manual when your unit arrives.
What comes in the box?
IPL handset, US-plug power adapter, protective eyewear, razor and instruction manual. The supplier’s photos show the eyewear and razor. Decorative ice cubes illustrate cooling and are not included. This listing does not promise extra treatment heads or an electric trimmer.
What should I check before buying?
Make skin and hair compatibility your first check, then confirm the plug, permitted areas, routine and included items. The supplier’s graphics advertise up to 16 J, while the imported technical table gives 13 J / 3 cm²; the exact measured output has not been confirmed. Neither CE/RoHS statements nor cooling replace those checks.
